Lamb Tales

Farmer Lambs in Nebraska

There are no pictures to document our story, but the Lambs participated in some heavy duty farm work during our vacation last week. We were the best cow wranglin', fence buildin', race watchin' folks this side of the Mississippi.....okay, maybe not. But I think that we learned a bit about breeding cattle and hopefully we were at least a little bit helpful. :)
It was a wonderful experience to finally see where I was born, at an age when I will remember the trip. My Godparents are some of the best people in the world and made Mark and I feel completely at home. I wish I had pictures of Mark and I covered in cow poop and mud, but perhaps the experience is better just in the telling of it. We have made some special relationships with some very special people and hope to return there soon.

The sign says it all, really. These are some very hard working people who have very big hearts. We have never experienced such a feeling of true community as we did out there.

Nebraska Bound

We are on our way out West! We made it all the way from big city Pfafftown to Columbia, MO yesterday and will reach Nebraska this afternoon. There are a few pictures, but I am not able to put them up at the moment. Just wanted to let everyone know our progress....
Passed the arch in St Louis.....lots of fields.....more of the same today, I expect.....
I am looking forward to finally meeting my Godparents and Mark is looking forward to the races tonight! More later....and we hope everyone at home is doing well.

Graduation

No more teachers, no more books....now what about a job??

The Lambs have been mostly at home the past few months, finishing school and working hard. Graduation was this past weekend and so I am finally free to move on to more exciting adventures. The four-legged Lambs will be visiting their local vet friends as the two-legged Lambs embark on a driving adventure to the Midwest. Stay tuned for their progress across the Mississippi....
We hosted a Cinco de Mayo JMSW Graduation Fiesta two weeks ago:

Bonfire for all of our papers....

Also, for Mother's Day, we freed Snappy the Turtle so that he could return to his mother in the lake from which he came...he is kind of hard to see in this picture. He has entertained my in-laws for the past several months, but now he has gone on to more successes in the lake. Good-bye, Snappy.
