My experience in Austria is still very surreal. As I stood looking straight up into the air at the very top of the Stephansdom, I could not believe how events came together so perfectly this past year to make the trip possible. Soon after I found out about the trip last fall, I also learned that my first internship as part of my Masters program would be at Family Services, working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The theme of the conference would be violence in the family, and I had dreamed of going to Europe since high school. I was finally able to use my German major!
I feel blessed beyond belief and I have no idea how to express my thanks to those who helped me to finally make it to Europe. I am posting some more pictures so that I can share some of the amazing sights.
